AAUW Auburn CA Tech Trek
Tech Trek is an weeklong STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) camp for local girls entering 8th grade. Campers spend a week living the life of a college student on the UC Davis campus, learning through hands-on problem solving and meeting women role models in STEM careers.
Many of our campers will choose college majors and careers in STEM fields – far beyond normally expected rates.

Volunteers needed.
Throughout the year, there are big tasks or small, that help support this program. All volunteer tasks involve helping with recruiting campers from Auburn schools for the camp season, as well as supporting UC Davis Tech Trek camp in the summer as well as other Northern California Tech Trek Camps.
Our Auburn Tech Trek Committee starts up soon and will begin with Teacher Nominations for Campers for 2025!

Here’s what participants say about Tech Trek camp:
- I have gained a lot of girl power. The idea of women making a change in this world has kept me going.
- Tech Trek has changed my life, and pointed me in the direction I want to go.
- The camp has ignited an intense passion for STEM that I wouldn’t have found if not for this opportunity. I was taught how truly powerful women can be.
- My engineering core class and activities such as Professional Women’s Night were amazing. It was a great experience to live like a college student.
