The AAUW-Auburn Branch is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California – just east of Sacramento and west of Tahoe-Truckee. Founded in 1848, Auburn began as a mining and supply camp during the California Gold Rush.
The AAUW – Auburn CA Branch was established in 1949 as a community of members seeking connections with college-educated women and working to give all women a fair chance by breaking through educational and economic barriers. We accomplish our goal through advocacy, education, and philanthropy.
We honor our history and, with an optimistic spirit, look forward to a bright future. Join us in continuing the AAUW-Auburn CA tradition of empowering women.
