Speech Trek

Speech Trek is a speaking contest open to all California high school students.  It is organized by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to promote public speaking and leadership skills.

Addison Horn, a senior at Placer High School in Auburn, won First Place in the Auburn Chapter AAUW contest that was held on February 25 of this year, earning her $500.  Annabel Easton, also of Placer High School, was the second-place winner, and she received a check for $300.  Aubree Garcia of Del Oro High School was the Third Place winner, and she received a check for $200.

We are delighted to announce that Addison won first place and $1,500 in the State competition on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Congratulations to Addison!
